KSU SOCCER STADIUM 3200 George W. Busbee Parkway, NW
Kennesaw, GA 30144

After 18 months in the making, the Atlanta Beat Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) team and Kennesaw State University Foundation announced a partnership, on Dec. 1, 2009, to construct and a $16.5 million, 8,300-seat soccer stadium.
The stadium, located on a 21-acre parcel of land, lies between George Busbee Parkway and the I-575 overpass on Big Shanty Road. It is home to both the Atlanta Beat of WPS and the KSU Owls women’s soccer program.
Completed in the Spring of 2010, the stadium hosted the first match on Sunday, May 9, 2010 (Mother's Day) as the Atlanta Beat hosted defending champions, Sky Blue FC in the Beat's inaugural WPS Home Opener.
In 2010, KSU Soccer Stadium welcomed a total of seven national teams including the United States Women's National Team (USWNT) on Saturday, Sept. 2 for an international friendly against China, the full men's national teams from Guatemala and Guyana for a FIFA play date on Wednesday, Nov. 17, and U-20 men's national teams from Colombia, Mexico, and the U.S. during Torneo de las Americas, a three-day three team international tournament from Nov. 26-28.
Following the upcoming Beat and KSU soccer seasons, the stadium will host the NCAA Women's College Cup, which is the Division - I final four soccer tournament, on Dec. 2 and Dec. 4, 2011.
The stadium functions primarily for soccer events with sideline, endline, on-field and suite level seating. It also accommodates up to 16,000 patrons as a concert venue.
Becuase the stadium is not built on KSU land, there will be alcohol served at all concerts, international matches, Atlanta Beat home games and non-KSU events.
