ADVICE
Surely it took a lot of hard work to get to this level, what motivated you to keep working hard?
It has always been a dream of mine to play professional soccer and when I knew I had a chance to play at that level; it wasn’t hard to stay motivated.
When it got hard, or you didn’t make the cut what did you do? What advice could you give kids about working hard and overcoming moments like this?
I usually would give myself some time to be upset and complain to my friends or family, and then I would suck it up and go out and push myself to be the best I can be.
When going through school and playing soccer at the same time, how did you fit all the pieces together (soccer, school, social life)
It takes a lot of commitment and dedication. I used every resource I had available to me to help me balance all the pieces.
What advice would you give to a young girl who dreams of playing in WPS one day?
That no matter what people tell you, if it is your dream to play in the WPS then do it. Don’t let anyone tell you any different. If you want it bad enough, it is possible.
